MH Mediate supports neutral communication across diverse mental health perspectives. MH Mediate promotes mediation in mental health contexts and across mental health communities; we also work to improve the general mediation process to be more accessible to a fuller spectrum of mental health, in accordance with universal design principles.
We do not define people by diagnoses or labels, although we do support conversations about diagnoses and treatment. We view everyone as having blatant and latent mental health needs that can be accommodated in mediation and we do not pressure people to disclose their personal history to be afforded these opportunities. We do offer free mediation services to families who are already experiencing mental health conflicts, and those require that everyone agrees there is a mental health problem.
Based in New York City, we are a global community collaborating through e-mail, video-chats, and other tools.
